Stronger Together: Why Women Supporting Women Matters
What women supporting women really means to us, and why we're proudly getting behind Annalie Howling's new podcast, Happy After.

There’s a phrase we hear all the time: women supporting women.
It looks good on a T-shirt. It makes a great Instagram caption. But for us, it means far more when it happens in real life.
Since launching La Femme est Magique, we’ve seen first-hand what can happen when women genuinely get behind other women.
An introduction. A recommendation. Sharing a post. Opening a door. Inviting someone into a room they might not otherwise have been in.
Individually, they can feel like small gestures. Collectively, they can change the trajectory of a business, an idea or even a person.
And we think there’s something pretty great about that.
There’s room for all of us
For a long time, success was often presented as something we had to compete for. One opportunity. One seat at the table. One person gets ahead.
But we’ve never really believed that someone else doing well takes anything away from us.
Quite the opposite.
Some of the most valuable relationships we’ve built, both personally and through our businesses, have come from women sharing experiences, making introductions and genuinely wanting to see one another succeed.
Research backs that up, too. A study published in Harvard Business Review found that while having a broad professional network benefited both men and women, successful women were particularly likely to also have a close inner circle of female contacts.
But you don't need a study to see the value of it.
Sometimes it's simply having someone you can call and say, “What would you do?”
Someone who mentions your name when you're not in the room.
Someone who sends an opportunity your way because they thought of you.
Or someone who celebrates your win without seeing it as competition.
When one woman opens a door and holds it open for another, everybody moves forward.
Support doesn't have to be complicated
We think this is the bit that sometimes gets lost.
Supporting another woman doesn't always mean mentoring her, investing in her business or making some huge gesture.
Buy from her business.
Recommend her.
Make the introduction.
Share the post.
Turn up to the event.
Tell somebody about the brilliant thing she's doing.
Sometimes the simplest act of support is saying, “I see what you're building, and I'm behind you.”
And that's something we want La Femme est Magique to stand for beyond what's inside the bottle.
Which brings us to someone we're very excited to support: Annalie Howling and the launch of her new podcast, Happy After. A brand new weekly podcast for those who didn't get given their own happy ever after so they decided to reclaim, reinvent and create their own!
Annalie will be sitting down with incredible guests from celebrities to experts and visiting incredible places on this journey.
When Annalie told us what she was creating, getting behind it felt like a natural fit for La Femme est Magique.
Because supporting women isn't something we only want to talk about. We want to actually do it.
To celebrate women taking chances. Starting something new. Having conversations that matter. And using their platform to create opportunities and connections for others.
So we'll be proudly supporting Annalie as she launches this next chapter.
More than networking
Maybe that's ultimately what women supporting women means to us.
Not collecting contacts. Not forced networking. Not turning every relationship into an opportunity. Real connection.
Building a circle of people who champion one another, tell each other the truth, make introductions and celebrate the wins, whether there's anything in it for them or not.
We centred La Femme est Magique around three things: confidence, connection and fun.
And the further we go on this journey, the more we realise just how important that middle one is. Because we can all achieve brilliant things individually. But we're stronger when we do it together.
Here’s to the women building, creating, supporting, introducing, championing, and holding the door open for the woman coming next.
Santé. 🍷
